About the team

This vacancy sits within our Corporate/MA team. The Sydney team focus on M&A, private equity/venture capital and equity capital markets (ECM) transactions across a broad range of industries.

What does the role involve?

Working with one of Australia's leading corporate and private equity lawyers, Nick Humphrey, we can offer you the opportunity to join a high performing team, work autonomously and liaise with a range of clients. On a day to day basis you will have the chance to

  • advise and act for local and multinational organisations
  • advise on a range of corporate and commercial matters including Mergers and Acquisitions, private equity, venture capital and equity capital market transactions
  • develop your own and existing client relationships
  • access and work with our global network of lawyers and resources
  • work with and develop the skills of our more junior lawyers
  • share your knowledge and specialist skills via our comprehensive learning and development offering and contribute to our knowledge and learning resources
  • develop your practice management skills, including finance management.

About you

You will have 6 or more years post qualification experience in the M&A practice area working in a similar firm on similar matters. You should be practical and proactive in your approach in addition to demonstrating strong problem solving skills. A high level of client service is expected as are excellent organisation, written and oral communication skills.

The successful applicant will have exceptional technical abilities, be commercially minded, with previous experience supervising and mentoring of junior team members.
