What this opportunity involves:

You will be responsible for managing and maintaining a mix of owned and leased premises within the inner western suburbs of Sydney, supporting the service delivery functions of Government client tenants occupying the properties, ensuring compliance with performance expectations. You will guarantee clear and timely communication with the respective Property Managers and prepare facilities management maintenance plans and budgets.

Other key responsibilities will include proactively engaging with stakeholders to ensure that on site client expectations are met; liaising with the Property Management Team and confirming tenant details are recorded actioned and maintained; managing vendors delivering services on time and within budget; supervising all contracts to ensure they are professionally delivered at the right costs; ensuring that financial operations are meeting or exceeding targets; recommending continuous quality improvement initiatives and confirming disaster recovery and business continuity plans are implemented and maintained. You will need to conduct site inspections as appropriate so some travel will be required.

Team orientated and a strong communicator, you will have a proven track record as a Facilities Manager and knowledge of local occupational health and safety requirements. Ideally you have worked with a Government client with the ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders, providing superior customer service. Strong budgeting, reporting and financial analysis skills will be required with the capacity to manage multiple and complex operational matters on a daily basis. Most important is a proactive approach, being able to lead from the front and following through with improvement initiatives. You will need to have a fully maintained vehicle and current Drivers Licence.
