Award-winning luxury hotel, Park Hyatt Melbourne currently seeks a highly motivated and qualified Commis Chef to join radii restaurant & bar on a full-time basis.
 
With the support of the Chef de Cuisine, you will assist in ensuring that the radii restaurant & bar kitchen operations run smoothly and that all culinary and organisational standards established are maintained at all times. You will also be responsible for preparing a consistent, high quality food product that supports the kitchen’s operating concepts while adhering to the hotel’s standards and ensuring courteous, professional and efficient service is constantly delivered to our customers.

With the support of the Chef de Cuisine, you will assist in ensuring that the radii restaurant & bar kitchen operations run smoothly and that all culinary and organisational standards established are maintained at all times. You will also be responsible for preparing a consistent, high quality food product that supports the kitchen’s operating concepts while adhering to the hotel’s standards and ensuring courteous, professional and efficient service is constantly delivered to our customers.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Relevant qualifications/certificates in Cookery (Certificate III/equivalent), HACCP & local Food Safety Handling & Hygiene.
  • Previous work experience in a similar position and conversant in buffet & a la carte service (will be advantageous).
  • Ability to work productively and safely at all times with a focus on quality control.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • The flexibility to work on a rotating roster (including mornings, evenings, weekends, public holidays).
  • The ability to create a positive first impression with an understanding of the importance of five star grooming standards.
