Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia is a leading supplier of construction and mining equipment and is part of a global business.

Due to growth a new position has become available within our Service team in Greystanes. The main focus of this role is to provide reliability engineering support by identifying and managing asset reliability risks that could adversely affect plant or business operations.

Reporting to the Manager –Group Contracts Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Work with stakeholders to ensure the reliability and maintainability of machines under contract
  • Understand contract requirements and prepare comprehensive subcontract scope of works, to minimize commercial risk.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Design, implementation and management of a continuous improvement program for equipment availability, reliability and cost through the analysis of contract and equipment performance
  • Adhere to the Life Cycle Asset Management (LCAM) process throughout the entire life cycle of new assets and new models. Create and analyze equipment Life cycle Cost and cost modeling in order to provide accurate contract estimates to the business

To be successful in your application you will need:

  • Extensive engineering / maintenance experience with large heavy mobile mining & construction equipment.
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management and engagement at operational levels including Operational Management, Project Peers, and Trades & Suppliers.
  • Intermediate to advanced MS office applications with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize workload with a high level of accuracy.
  • Clear business level communication and presentation skills.
  • Your tertiary qualification in Business or Engineering, with deep understanding of contractual agreement is preferred.
