Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia (www.hcma.com.au) is part of a global brand providing a variety of machinery for the construction, forestry and mining industries. 

HCA's Revesby branch is seeking a Plant/ Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team as a Field Service Lube Truck Mechanic covering the Sydney metro and surrounding regions, to conduct maintenance, servicing and basic repairs of Hitachi, John Deere and Bell earthmoving equipment.

As a key member of the team, you will need enthusiasm, motivation, good communication skills and dedication to providing outstanding customer service. This role is based on operating from our new purpose built Lube Truck.

Your main responsibilities will include: 

  • Servicing, maintenance and basic repairs of new and used equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications
  • Provide support within the Sydney metro and regional areas as required
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team environment
  • Completion and submission of all relevant paperwork, oil samples and service reports
  • Provide timely customer service while maintaining a clean and tidy work environment in line with the Company and customer standards

To be successful in this role you must possess the following skills: 

  • Relevant Trade Qualification
  • Proven experience working on earthmoving equipment
  • An LR license and white card are essential
  • Ability to navigate computer programs for basic diagnostics and troubleshooting.
  • A strong safety focus with a sound understanding of Workplace Health and Safety principles
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with sound ability to meet requirements set by the company and Hitachi’s customers
  • Willingness to be flexible with travel, and work outside of normal trading hours to meet customer requirements
