Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia is part of a global brand providing a variety of machinery for the construction and mining industries.

As a commercial enterprise, we are embarking on a raw journey and as such we are now seeking to hire an AHS Site Supervisor whose primary goal will be to assist Hitachi AHS customers with integrating AHS solutions into their operational processes, procedures and overall workplace.

You will be required to assist and guide throughout all areas and function including but not limited to, Change management, Systems Integration, Reporting, Training and Support areas and functions.

Reporting to the Site AHS Project Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Work with customers and HCM AHS Support team to define any integration requirements and assist with implementing when appropriate Including configuring solutions to meet their specific needs
  • Guide & Assist customers with achieving their Reporting goals, including reporting developments and dashboard configurations
  • Provide customer training in the use of Wenco, AHS FMS application, HPGPS and Asset Health products as required also assist in troubleshooting and repair of software and hardware
  • Assist with software & hardware troubleshooting and repair and liaise with HCM AHS support team as needed
  • Carry out regular audits/benchmarking of customers ‘System Use and Maturity’. Identify areas for improvement and work with the customer to address any shortcomings.
  • Escalate all issues to relevant HCM & AHS Support Teams within timely manner
  • At all times maintain an open communication and good working relationship with customers, peers and other departments
  • Ensure that all interactions with internal and external customers and stakeholders is professional and courteous as you are required to continuously ‘Promote & Enhance’ Hitachi’s relationship with our AHS customers

To be successful it is essential that you have:

  • Sound understanding of the mining industry and understanding of networking protocols and technologies (WAN, LAN & Wireless)
  • Demonstrated experience with MS SQL Server deployment, administration & reporting Services
  • A high level of proficiency with MS Word & Excel, configuration and usage of OpenVPN, use of scripting to automate tasks, FMS Hardware Troubleshooting and repair
  • Knowledge & experience with dSpace Products such as ControlDesk & mine packages eg. Vulcan
  • Experience with mine planning packages eg Vulcan
  • Minimum of 3 years of direct operational FMS/HPGPS responsibility
  • Degree qualified in Information Technology, Software Engineering or equivalent or Mining Qualified with relevant relevant practical FMS/HPGPS experience
  • Willing to eventually relocate to NSW to continue supporting the implementation at Maules Creek
