Retail Pharmacy Buyer/Pricing Administrator

About the role

An opportunity has become available for a junior Buyer/Merchandiser to take on a newly created role of Retail Pharmacy Buyer/Pricing Administrator in our National Procurement team based at our Corporate Office in Ashford.

This full time role has a strong retail focus as well as contract compliance. You will utilise your knowledge, adaptability, problem solving, analytical skills and retail/merchandising experience, to contribute to our pharmacies profitability.

Key responsibilities

  • Proactively respond and support our pharmacy sites, client queries and issues regarding retail initiatives, pricing and supply
  • Identify & source profitable product offers for ranging in HPS Pharmacies retail space and oversee supply.
  • Maintain currency of the retail and pricing data bases in accordance with contracts and pricing variations
  • Provision of administration support to our operations and to achieve the Purchasing and Procurement teams objectives
  • Retail initiatives such as planogram maintenance, resolution of stock supply issues, contract compliance and implementation of alternative supply or substitution arrangements

You must have

  • Experience within a pharmacy environment - ideally community/retail pharmacy, or retail buying/merchandiser experience in another industry
  • Effective analytical skills to identify issues and solutions
  • Effective oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external clients
  • ?Ability to effectively negotiate and influence with suppliers
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and precision in record keeping
  • Problem solving skills with the ability to work proactively and use initiative
  • Financial awareness with regard to understanding the drivers and influencers on profitability and margins
  • ?Attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and effective reports
  • A can-do attitude and team focus
  • High level Excel skills and proficiency
