About the role

As our Database & Operations Specialist within Ancillary Benefits you will have overall responsibility to provide guidance to the business on all systems and processes that enable efficient and compliant benefits payments. The Ancillary Benefits team are a critical component of HCF’s value proposition to the customer and a critical differentiator among health funds in the market. In this role you will manage the claiming channels, databases, frontline tools and interfaces are maintained efficiently and improved. You will act as a first point of contact to support the resolution of ancillary benefits related queries and communicate any customer escalation exceptions.

Skills & experience

To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate an understanding of enterprise database systems, requiring maintenance and improvement. You will have proven experience and a strong understanding of private health insurance or the healthcare industry. You will bring to the role strong communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to engage a wide variety of people will be essential for this position. The nature of this role requires someone with exceptional problem solving skills and a willingness to engage with other areas to solve ancillary benefits related issues.
