“to make the world a happier place through the love of pets”

A great opportunity has become available at our Macedon Ranges Clinic for a Full Time Veterinary Associate with a minimum of two to three years’ experience, who is enthusiastic and passionate about joining our supportive and experienced team of 10 Vets and Nurses.

Greencross Macedon Ranges is a purpose built clinic, just five years old and it is equipped with 2 consultation rooms, surgical theatre, digital x-ray, blood machine, a bereavement room and kennel rooms for both large and small dogs. The clinic is located in Woodend, in close proximity to Melbourne airport and an hour’s drive from Melbourne city. Woodend is set in the beautiful Macedon Ranges, ideal for walking and bike riding enthusiasts. You can also visit the nearby ‘Hanging Rock’, Mount Macedon or the wineries.

We will support you with 4 weeks’ pro-rata annual leave and 1 week pro-rata study leave as well as providing you with the opportunities for Continuing Education both from a professional and personal perspective. We invite you to attend our exclusive annual Greencross Vets Symposium whilst providing you all your other required CE points, free. We also pay for you VIN and AVA memberships.

The clinic mostly treats small animals such as cats, dogs, rabbits and birds but we are flexible and also cater for larger animals in our newly built facility such as horses, cattle, goats and sheep. The team at Macedon Ranges pride themselves on their ability to provide outstanding pet care service and build long term client relationships. They are a very genuine, friendly and knowledgeable team that treat every animal that comes through the clinic as if it was their own. You will be very well supported when undertaking your duties.

We are looking for

  • An experienced and passionate Vet with at least two to three years’ experience;
  • A client focussed approach and dedicated to providing positive outcomes;
  • A ‘can do’ attitude and the ability to build great relationships;
  • A demonstrated capacity to work independently at time and make confident well considered decisions;
  • Proven ability to work within a team environment.
