An exciting Part Time opportunity exists for a Veterinary Nurse to join our passionate teams at our Ku-Ring-Gai clinic. This role will see the successful applicant working every Saturday from 8.30am – 6pm with plenty of opportunity to work additional hours during our peak seasons and to cover members of our team that may be on leave. This position would be suitable for a Veterinary Science Student with industry experience or an experienced nurse looking for some extra weekend work.

The primary responsibilities of this position include:

  • Undertaking general nursing tasks, including pre and post-operative care, animal pathology and emergency and critical care;
  • Practicing cat friendly handling techniques in line with our Gold Accreditation for a cat friendly clinic.
  • Delivering outstanding client care to all patients and owners;
  • Participating as an enthusiastic team member with a positive ‘go-getter’ attitude;

The ideal candidate will have the following qualities and expertise:

  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent;
  • 2+ years of experience working as a Veterinary Nurse;
  • Excellent phone manner, communication skills & customer service skills;
  • An extensive knowledge and understanding of veterinary nursing procedures;
  • Confidence in monitoring anaesthesia;
  • A calm & friendly professional with a sense of humour;
  • An amazing ‘can do’, team player attitude.
