The GHD NT office has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Architect to stregthen our capability and assist in successful the delivery of Architecture projects throughout the Northern Territory and interstate. With several major projects with Private, Defence and other government clients, it is an exciting time to be part of GHD.  Working closely with our GHDWoodhead architects, both locally and interstate, you will strive to create inspirational places and responsive architecture, landscapes, townscapes, buildings and spaces that simplify the complexity of contemporary life through intelligent and thoughtful design.
You will be involved in all aspects of architectural services including master planning, concept designs, sketch design, design development, contract documentation and contract administration in addition to report/bid writing and conducting client presentations/workshops on various projects. 
 You will make you mark by:
  • Delivering projects that meet clients'' expectations
  • Assisting in the design management of projects across across the office
  • Ensuring the technical soundness of work produced as part of project team
  • Preparing high quality written material including proposals, reports and specifications
  • Mitigating risk within the project team in consultation with the Project Manager/Project Director
  • Ensuring compliance with the Environmental Management System standards
  • Working with the project team to formulate initial conceptual design ideas and developing them into a considered and refined project design and documentation package

As the ideal candidate you will have: 
  • Proven Project Architect experience
  • A good understanding of and practical experience in working with a variety of clients
  • Excellent visual skills and strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated proficiency with REVIT or other clash detection tools
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • The ability to think laterally to solve complex problems
  • Sound working knowledge and understanding of the Building Code of Australia and Australian Standards
  • Practical and technical understanding of building materials and elements, structures, construction and services
  • Sound written communication skills with the ability to prepare a range of business documentation to a high standard
  • A tertiary qualification in Architecture
  • The ability to travel to client sites and GHD Offices as required
