Logistics Manager
External Logistics

Reporting to the APAC Logistics Leader, GE Oil and Gas, the Logistics Manager is responsible for managing the Logistics for EPC projects, heavy-lifts Cargo movements and Critical shipments. He/She is also responsible to deliver effective and optimized logistics services to the O&G Product Companies within APAC. He/She will be expected to support and work with the various local stakeholders to resolve issues and improve the existing processes to achieve operations excellence.
The role provides visibility through regular updates to the stakeholders, ensuring that both internal/external customer’s needs are met and that company policy and international trade compliance regulations are adhered to. This following position will require (but is not limited to) the following;

•Plan and monitor site logistics plans for a large-scale project;
•Phase-wise planning and monitoring of internal and external logistics routes for every project focusing on separation of vehicles, machinery and people; traffic management; lay down areas and offloading points
•Overcome road blocks to ensure delivery is made in line with internal and external customer’s requirements;
•Variation control and early communication of foreseeable changes to project team
•Responsible for on time delivery in/out of the country and monitor key performance indicators.
•Provide updated logistics instructions to all project service providers and contractors
•Maintaining and developing relationships with current, new and potential service providers, to best serve the Product Companies needs for Logistics activities
•Create standard procedures, method statements and tracking templates for effective monitoring
•Drive standardization of transportation processes across the region in collaboration with GGO;
•Support business Product Company goals by driving strategic Logistics and Customs decision-making;
•Support and drive improvements in Logistics team's performance metrics;
. Candidates must posses at least a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
•At least 10 years of experience in Logistic lead role position
. Min 5 years of experience in heavy-lift operations/project movement
•Proven working experience in the Oil and Gas industry
•Ability to travel up to 30%~40% of the time to visit project sites within APAC
Candidate should have excellent analytical, problem solving and organization skills

•Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
•Must have the ability to work well under pressure and be well organized to manage people and be a team player
•Possess good interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain good working relationships with clients, employees, and industry professionals.
•Must have adjustment skills and decision making skills considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
•Ability to absorb and synthesize a broad range of information.
•Strong problem solving skills and analytical capabilities;
•Ability to visualize constraints and develop innovative solutions to exceptional site conditions
