The Role:
Empired Ltd is seeking a Principal Consultant within our Enterprise Solutions team who will provide objective advice, expertise and specialist skills primarily in .NET technologies (Web API, WCF and integration technologies - MSMQ etc). As a core member of the Enterprise Solutions team, you will provide leadership and presales expertise for specific programmes of work. You will provide solution/project estimation, delivery governance and quality control. You will show deep expertise in a range of technology specialisations, technology and business trends and be responsible for setting the vision and high-level architecture for complex solutions. As a Principal Consultant you will maintain deep and expert knowledge of your respective technologies to enable you to propose the most appropriate solutions to Empired's clients. You will also work across Empired’s business to provide advice, guidance and commercial understanding to Empired's delivery practices.

What you will be doing:
• Participate in pre-sales presentations and demonstrations in conjunction with the sales team plus providing input for Request for Proposals and Request for Information.
• Designing solutions, implementing and delivery of projects as required
• Work with our clients to analyse and define business requirements and/or project scope
• Facilitation of analysis and design workshops
• Document and communicate client requirements
• Encouraging employee engagement by continuing to develop and mentor technical specialists
• Promoting a high performance culture within the team, focusing on consulting and delivery excellence
• Provide client support and relationship management as required
• Work as part of a team, providing consulting services to Empired Ltd customers.
• Develop custom software components & services for bespoke applications, in a range of development languages, frameworks and technologies
• Ensure code meets Empired coding standards
• Work closely with the Team Manager for meeting operational goals (billability, customer satisfaction, team satisfaction)
• Work within an Agile environment

What you need to be successful:
• 10 years + .NET commercial development experience
• Development experience in Web API, WCF and MSMQ
• JavaScript development experience including: Angular 1.x and TypeScript
• Experience with design patterns and practices (process and architectural) used in specifying, designing and implementing solutions; including dev-ops and continuous integration.
• Agile delivery methodologies such as Scrum as well as any approved internal delivery methodologies
• MS CRM, MS AX, MS SQL, Biztalk, Windows Phone development knowledge and experience is desirable
