Partner / Equity Director (Sydney) Site Investigation / Remediation and Risk Assessment

ERM is seeking motivated candidates for an Equity Partner role to be based in Sydney and help grow our established business in ANZ. The ideal candidate brings significant consulting experience and client relationships, in order to provide technical leadership and strategic direction to grow the business.  Candidates with accreditation and experience as a NSW EPA Site Auditor are encouraged to apply. 

As a senior leader you will be accountable for successfully selling and consulting on site investigation, remediation and risk assessment related projects to help grow our Sydney business locally, while networking with ERM's Global Client Account leaders and Technical Communities to share best practices. This is a Partner opportunity for a senior-level professional looking to advance their career to the next level within a global environmental and sustainability organization, and to make a significant impact in successfully implementing ERM's global strategy. 

We are seeking someone who enjoys working closely with clients to help them address challenging contamination issues. ERM has a fantastic client base and very interesting projects that sees our team delivering on large, multi-year site assessment and remediation contracts, in addition to carrying out due diligence, qualitative and quantitative risk assessment, and large decommissioning, decontamination, and demolition projects. Our go-to-market model enables our Partners to build longer-term, deep relationship with clients and he/she will have the opportunity to work with the multi-disciplinary team to deliver innovative solutions to our clients. Our consultants firmly believe in service excellence and this person will be working with a high performing team who are client focused throughout the project lifecycle. 

ROLE PROFILE

  • Play a key role in growing ERM’s site Investigation, remediation and risk assessment service offerings, with a primary focus on client account development, sales, and project execution to deliver strategic value to our clients across various sectors.
    • Generate sales from new and existing clients to meet personal and/or team sales targets
    • Actively develop commercial strategies to pursue and win new business opportunities that result in significant revenue growth with target clients aligned with ERM’s global strategy. 
    • Lead opportunity chase teams to identify and secure opportunities with clients that fit within ERM’s value proposition, including scope of work development and pricing.     
    • Provide business value selling at the top levels of client organizations, raising the profile of ERM’s capabilities within key client organizations, to identify and shape clients’ needs for ERM services.
    • Develop new client relationships and expand existing relationships by delivering strategic consulting advice, excellent value, and quality service.
  • Maintain pulse on industry business cycles and prioritize sales efforts toward high-potential, top opportunities.
  • Contribute to leadership and management of major projects for ERM’s clients. 
  • Build, grow, and manage a high-performance team, serving as a leader and mentor to employees.  In particular, provide technical guidance and mentoring to staff.
  • Support the growth and development of the relevant technical communities through actively collaborating with colleagues across the globe. Drive innovation within the technical communities to stay ahead of client needs and to differentiate ERM in the market. 
  • Meet business financial targets, overall project budgets and schedules, client satisfaction/expectations, and internal and contract requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Environmental science, Engineering, or related degree with 15+ years of experience in contaminated land management.
  • NSW EPA Auditor Accreditation and experience preferable.
  • Strong existing Sydney and east coast client networks and relationships
  • Strong commitment to safety, including experience implementing strict Health and Safety protocols on projects;
  • Strong leadership skills and extensive team management experience.
  • Ability to provide excellent project delivery and client service, quality on project deliverables, excellent communication and organizational skills;
  • Valid driver’s license and a good driving record;
  • Willing to undertake travel at times throughout Australia, the AP region and Globally when required;
