Our team undertakes reviews of complaints where people raise concerns about the Complaints Commissioner’s original decision. They also respond to the Commonwealth Ombudsman and use review outcomes to contribute to our continuous improvement.

The review team includes five EL1 officers with experience in administrative decision-making and review. These officers also have strong skills in complaints management and the ability to manage cases within tight timeframes and challenging circumstances.

Two EL1s provide overall quality assurance and guidance on the review process. The other three EL1s are primarily responsible for individual review cases including the initial assessment about whether the complaint should be looked at again, and if so, will undertake the new complaints resolution process. There may be opportunities over time for staff to work in either role. All EL1 officers will report to the Director, Assurance, Review and FOI section.

We are looking for experienced officers who can work independently but within a team environment to deliver the high quality outcomes that are expected by the Commissioner.
