The opportunity exists to be part of a team that undertakes the auditing and compliance functions within the Office of the Federal Safety Commissioner (OFSC). This role requires an experienced operator who combines a strategic and pragmatic approach with technical knowledge of work health and safety (WHS) systems and practices. An ability to analyse, discuss and resolve issues related to the auditing of detailed WHS criteria with senior building company personnel, auditors and the Federal Safety Commissioner is critical.

The OFSC works directly with building and construction companies to reduce the number of people being injured or killed on building and construction sites. Improving safety is a key element of the Government’s workplace agenda, and the evidence shows that builders and constructors that meet the standards required under the Federal Safety Commissioner’s WHS accreditation scheme (the Scheme) have better safety outcomes. The Scheme is the highest safety standard in Australia for the industry.

If you think you have what it takes to be part of a committed and motivated team that collaborates with building companies to implement and maintain best practice WHS safety systems and practices, we want to hear from you!
