Our Finance hub operates across both Country Road Group and David Jones. The responsibilities extend from managing strategic planning processes to financial performance management, reporting and ensuring all financial compliance measures are met.


Working as part of the Finance team you will provide proactive financial leadership through direct involvement in business management across both Country Road Group and David Jones.


In this role you will:


• Establish the relevant category vision and plan whilst working across all David Jones and CRG brands and functions
• Be responsible for all elements of the category spend including; establishing and communicating the strategic intent in the category
• Establish and execute procurement plans and activities to manage risks and deliver sustainable value to the business.
• Manage resources effectively to support, develop and execute category plans and related procurement activities that produce the planned business results
• Achieve stakeholder alignment and effective deployment of recommended actions from procurement activities.
• Achieve or exceed annual efficiency and value targets set against category plans achieved through commercial dealings with suppliers and internal customers.


We are looking for that little bit extra, so join us if you have:


• End to end category management knowledge, procurement execution and commercial experience, preferably gained in other large commercial/FMCG/Retail businesses.
• Extensive value chain management knowledge
• Strong business acumen and negotiation skills
• A related tertiary qualification, ideally in Economics, Commerce, or Supply Chain Management.
• Strong interpersonal, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Ability to assess cost and risk elements to determine least cost recommendations.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
• Demonstrated understanding of Australian contract law.
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Project management experience is highly regarded.
