Delta Facilities Management part of the Compass Group is a leading provider of facilities management, asset management and maintenance, building and construction projects, capital planning and program management services to blue chip corporations, Defence and Government.

The Position

In your role of Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for managing a highly skilled and qualified team within a resources accommodation village with 3,500 residents at capacity, 3km in diameter. Your team is responsible for ensuring the maintenance and repair of the village including kitchen and laundry appliances, accommodation facilities, recreational and entertainment facilities, general maintenance and handyman duties are carried out in an efficient, timely and safe manner is paramount. This is an extremely busy and demanding role due to the size and scope of the project.

Key Duties

  • Develop and maintain effective business relationships
  • Identify and Create New Business Opportunities
  • Manage sub-contracting arrangements
  • Effectively manage the cost of goods within the workplace
  • Lead and manage an effective team
  • Develop and update legal /regulatory knowledge required for business compliance
  • Train & develop employees
  • Establish and maintain a safe and secure workplace

The Person

Ideally you will have the following attributes:

  • Customer service driven
  • Trade qualified (Electrical background preferred)
  • Demonstrated Trade/Facilities Management experience
  • Asset and Lifecycle management skills
  • Demonstrated skills in task allocation and resource scheduling
  • Excellent time management with outstanding communication skills
  • An ability to work well under pressure and manage a team effectively
  • A high degree of self motivation
  • Competent in Microsoft Office
