The Position

We are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Retail Supervisor, with a solid background in hospitality and retail operations. Based within the busy retail precinct of the Melbourne Zoo your love for Coffee, Great Food and Exceptional Customer Service will be the winning ingredient for this role! Overseeing the various retail outlets you will be supported by a diverse and flexible team of catering and retail staff.

Key Duties

  • Day to day management of staff and retail operations.
  • Develop, train and motivate staff to achieve our high level of service
  • Achieve sales targets
  • Roster management
  • Stock control
  • Maintain food safety compliance
  • Consistent delivery of exceptional customer service
  • Cash management experience

The Person

  • Experience and ability to develop and lead staff
  • Exceptional people skills with the ability to engage and get the best from all team members
  • Highly motivated to achieve – Sales - Customer Satisfaction – Audit / Safety
  • Proven experience in a similar role (Barista, Catering , Retail combination is highly desirable)
  • Energetic and flexible nature, with a can-do attitude
  • Exceptional interpersonal, administrative and organisational skills
  • Thorough understanding of Food Hygiene & Safety practices
  • Computer literate – experience using various operating systems (Payroll, invoicing, ordering, Excel / Word )
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster that includes weekends
