About the role:

As the Restaurant Manager you will be expected to work alongside your team, offering 'hands on' support to ensure your store is operationally efficient, whilst driving strategic management in maximising productivity and profitability.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the cleanliness of the store is in alignment with Food Safety Standards.
  • Ensure all customers receive an outstanding customer service experience
  • Recruiting, inducting and training all restaurant team members
  • Maintaining staff levels, training needs and effectively rostering
  • Effectively planning and managing rosters in line with forecast sales & budget
  • Enforcing daily and weekly procedures to ensure a high level of presentation, hygiene, service, product quality and security
  • Performing administrative duties
  • Developing local area marketing strategies
  • Ensure cost effective management of all P&L areas
  • Positively manage and diffuse customer complaints to encourage return customers
  • Create brand recognition in your community
  • Management and maintenance of all OHS requirements
  • Manage the compliance of the business to internal and external requirements.

About you:

You will be a positive, proactive individual with outstanding communication skills and a high level of literacy and numeracy skills. You will also possess:

  • 3-5 years’ previous experience in a Restaurant Management Position;
  • Proven knowledge of employment relations, WHS requirements and labour management;
  • Ability to run a fast paced venue that has multiple profit centres that you will need to be across and manage
  • Effective management of large teams in varying departments with individual and team goals
  • Proven ability to grow a hospitality business' profitability
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Ability to meet and work towards both your own, the venue and company's goals and deadlines
  • High level interpersonal skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work a seven day rotating roster
  • Barista knowledge will be advantageous.
