We are seeking an Enterprise Architecture Manager to join a global IT team and lead the Enterprise Architecture function at Cochlear. This role is responsible for the delivery of IT Strategy and IT Roadmaps to ensure optimal use of technology in delivering Cochlear strategy.

The Enterprise Architecture Manager owns, leads and continuously improves the Architecture function in providing architecture services such as: IT strategy development, Application & Technology roadmaps, Investment decision support, solution design and architecture advisory services for project delivery.

You will take ownership of the Cochlear Architecture Framework (TOGAF), associated Architecture Development Method (ADM) and the delivery of the Architecture Foundation, including the Architectural Domain & Reference Architectures; Principles, standards & guidelines; capability maps and solution patters. You will also establish and manage Architecture governance processes and ensure they are integrated with IT processes and forums.

To add value to Cochlear in this role you'll be able to demonstrate the following skills, experience and attributes:

  • Leading an architecture team
  • Degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience
  • TOGAF or similar Certification
  • Broad knowledge of current and emerging technologies, technology directions, and strategic application to business needs, including the ability to differentiate between a relevant trend and hype
  • Strong leadership capability, executing as appropriate in the areas of responsibility and team working skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technology solutions in business terms, establish rapport and persuade others
  • Proven ability to plan and execute activities
  • Customer focus
  • Strong business acumen
