Commercial & Design (C&D) Sales Manager – Sydney or Melbourne

The opportunity

We are currently on the search for an experienced and highly driven Senior Sales Manager to lead our sales function across the commercial and design segment. The main purpose of this role is to manage the sales team to optimise sales and profitability for Viridian, and the creation and implementation of effective sales and marketing plans, strategies and budgets.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Providing leadership to the C&D sales team and provide ongoing coaching, mentoring and support to achieve optimal outcomes
  • Develop robust yet sustainable commercial relationships with our customers and key influencers
  • Generate the best results using your influencing capability and exceptional business development and sales management expertise
  • Represent the sales team as part of the Commercial & Design Leadership Team
  • Implement a culture of achievement and support constructive behaviour

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Strong experience in a senior sales management capacity with a strong track record in customer value creation, sales and strategic business growth
  • Demonstrated success in a similar position with exposure to the building products/construction industry will be highly regarded
  • Well-developed people and organisational management skills
  • The ability to quickly absorb technical knowledge of both capability and product
  • An ability to be creative and a willingness to explore new techniques, approaches and improvements
  • A sense of passion, drive and energy towards coaching and motivating teams to achieve desired goals and results
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships
  • A high level of intuition to anticipate and understand customers' needs and key drivers
  • Solid PC skills and experience with CRM software (Salesforce and SAP will be advantageous)
