Master Data & Inventory Officer (part time)

The opportunity

Reporting to the Inventory & Planning Manager, Energy, this supporting role offers ongoing learning and development within Bradford Energy.

This is a part time role for 3 days a week, based in our office in Seven Hills NSW.

Overall your role will work to increase customer service levels and continually improve business performance through accurate data and inventory management. Your responsibilities will include:

Master Data Management

• Create & maintain material master data; purchasing / vendor information records & source lists

• Material extensions to plants

• Update product availability & hierarchies, checking rules, lead time, stocking units, rounding values etc

• Coordinate Master data cleansing projects

• Manage SAP determination for materials

• Flag obsolete materials for deletion and update descriptions

• Design and implement templates & train stakeholders on their usage

Inventory Management & Vendor Invoicing

• Manage Vendor Invoicing, ensure suppliers are paid according to terms and in timely manner

• Create POs and STOs in SAP as required

• Backup for MRP run and Inventory Planning in absence of Inventory & planning Manager

• Assist with the implementation of new system practices and changes to achieve best practices

• Ensure SAP settings accurately reflect ABC logic, Safe Lead Time, procurement keys, Min/Max levels

• Reporting and administration

To be successful

To be considered for this position you will have a high attention to detail; positive work ethic; proactive approach and enjoy working in a team. You are motivated by maximising the customer experience and enjoy the fast paced, agile nature of inventory. Ideally you will have;

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar master data & inventory / planning position within a manufacturing environment;
  • Strong computer literacy (advanced Excel and Word), SAP experience required; and
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
