We are currently on the search for a Leasing Specialist who will have responsibility for administering Bupa’s leasing portfolio across Australia and New Zealand. The Leasing Specialist will have strong and proven experience in the administration of leasehold property documents to drive outcomes for customers and for the business.  A customer and employee perspective is essential, as well as excellent cross-functional stakeholder management skills with experience in building and maintaining relationships both internally and externally. 

Reporting to the Leasing Manager, as a Leasing Specialist you will be responsible for managing up to 400 leased short term sites , you will be responsible for the overall administration and portfolio management for Bupa Australia & New Zealand. The ability to work in a dynamic team and also independently is essential.

   

Key elements of the role include:

  • Regular review and management of Property portfolio pipeline of lease renewals , new sites and closures
  • Co-ordinate the preparation of leases for review and execution including all relevant artefacts and Terms and Conditions
  • Coordinate Bupa’s external Facilities Management partner to ensure their database has all new leases, payments and accounts setup for payment
  • Advise of utility connections and disconnections with Bupa’s external services contactors
  • Complete amendments to leases (extension of terms, surrender of leases etc.) 
  • Site identification based on briefing from internal key stakeholders
  • Working with builders, designers and various third parties to ensure a successful opening


Criteria for selection:

  • Experience equivalent to 3-5 years in a relevant leasing administration role
  • Strong business, commercial and financial acumen with a proactive nature
  • A strong understanding of customer experience and customer centricity principles
  • Experience in working effectively within a matrix style organisation, with outstanding cross-functional stakeholder management, working across organisational structures.
  • Working with landlords as well as retailers
  • The person should be very driven, hardworking, hungry for success and must be able to work unassisted. 
  • The candidate should be well networked within the property industry
