About the role:

Teacher Veterinary Nursing / Clinical Veterinarian will provide high quality and innovative course materials and excellent clinical teaching delivery to Veterinary Nurses in training and students who aspire to become Veterinary Nurses. This role is responsible for managing the delivery of professional veterinary services through Pets on Elgar Veterinary Clinic, our training workplace for veterinary nursing and pet grooming students.

The Teacher Veterinary Nursing /Clinical Veterinarian is part of Science and Animal Studies, an organisational unit within the Faculty of Health, Community and Life Sciences. The position reports to the Clinical Coordinator Veterinary Nursing and is responsible for liaising with teachers, students, relevant industry groups, employers and employees of the BHI Group at all levels.

Your skills:
We are looking for an experienced and qualified veterinarian who holds a Degree qualification in Veterinary Science and the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110).

You must have over five years of experience in clinical practice and a comprehensive knowledge of small animal consultation, surgery and best practice. Current registration and on-going professional development is essential.

You will need to provide a current National Police Records Check and an Employee Category Working with Children Check. You will also need to provide evidence of your entitlement to work in Australia and certified copies of your qualifications.
