With Australia’s retail sector bringing in profits of hundreds of millions of dollars during the Christmas period, it’s no surprise that this is also the largest sector with job opportunities during this time. Popular roles to find jobs in the retail sector during Christmas include sales assistant and customer service roles to cater to the influx of shoppers during both the Christmas and post-Christmas sales periods that follow over Boxing Day & the New Year.
With many of workers on leave during the Christmas period, the media industry often operates using skeleton staff.
 Employers in this industry are on the lookout for casual staff with skills in TV editing, radio engineering and studio management; which makes the Christmas holiday period a good time to look for a casual position to get your foot in the door!
