Business Enablement Services Risk and Controls assist the business make informed choices about risks to systems and information. IT Service Continuity Management ensures that appropriate testing is performed for the recovery of critical systems across the Bank. This safeguards existing business and helps leverage new opportunities in a confident and secure manner that form the basis of success for our customers, people, partners and communities.

An opportunity exists at Bendigo and Adelaide Bank for a Senior Manager IT Service Continuity to join this important team, reporting to the Head of Business Enablement Risk & Controls.

The Senior Manager IT Service Continuity will be responsible for providing support and leadership to the BE Risk and Controls function as well as driving continuous improvement. This position will play a critical role in developing and maintaining an IT Service Recovery Plan, providing advisory services around the design, planning and execution of IT Service Recovery testing and ensuring the embedment of IT Service Continuity and Recovery in IT Change Management and Business Continuity plans. This area is also responsible for developing and maintaining an IT Service Continuity framework, charter and policy which supports the business strategy and aligns the maturity of services to industry practices and business requirements.

To be successful in this role:

  • Demonstrated experience in a senior-level or progressively responsible IT service recovery role or related business continuity or technology role.
  • Strong leadership, people development and management abilities.
  • Influencing and negotiating skills at all organisational levels.
  • Ability to work under broad direction and embrace tasks unsupervised.
  • Possess a high level of problem determination and resolution skills.
  • Practical experience in continual improvement methods and techniques.
  • Proven client relationship/customer focused experience with the ability to manage expectations of multiple stakeholders in a complex environment.
  • Proven experience in building sustainable relationships.
  • Have practical knowledge of IT service recovery and risk.
  • Experience in professional report writing and delivery of presentations.
  • Relevant tertiary or professional qualifications preferred, supported by practical work experience in this or a similar field.
  • Desirable to possess industry certifications (e.g. ITIL Foundation V3 etc.) or willingness to attain.

Membership and participation in related professional organisations such as ISACA
