About the Role:

Fantastic opportunity to join the Audit team as a Branch Auditor for the Retail Network. This role involves travel both within Queensland and interstate.

The Branch Auditor is responsible to undertake audits within the Retail Banking portfolio, the majority of which will be Retail branch and Retail Credit Risk Review audits. Audits should be conducted in accordance with the Internal Audit methodology and The Institute of Internal Auditors Standards.

The objective of the role is to continuously risk review the quality of branch operations, the retail loan portfolio, and any other associated Retail Banking operational units, and to provide accurate reporting to ensure suitable action/strategies are adopted by Management to ensure acceptable standards are maintained.

The Retail Branch & Credit Risk Review Auditor is responsible for planning and undertaking individual audits or assignments of BOQ branches/regions as and when allocated by the Senior Manager, Retail Banking Audit or their alternate.

To be successful in this role you will have strong retail lending experience. Further your skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Proven Retail banking experience
  • Bank products, processes and practices
  • Knowledge of retail network processes and practices
  • Knowledge of retail lending, specifically home loans
  • Application of Internal Audit methodology
  • Knowledge of legal & legislative requirements
  • Superior communication skills i.e. able to interact with Executive and Senior Management
  • Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong report writing skills
  • Proactive and reliable
  • Attentive to detail
  • Able to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines
  • Superior decision making skills
