We support a flexible workplace and have a collaborative team environment. You will be part of our Enterprise Solutions team and will be responsible for managing and improving BOQ’s IT Risk including IT Disaster Recovery, Cyber Security and IT Audit remediation activities.

The role:

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Manager IT Risk Governance to join our Enterprise Solutions team. Leading a small team you will report to the Head of Enterprise Solutions Risk Management and will be accountable for the development, implementation, and ongoing operation of an agreed Enterprise Solutions Governance Framework which supports both BOQ and Enterprise Solutions Strategies. This position is also responsible for ensuring the capabilities of BOQ IT are aligned to industry standards, and operated in a sustainable manner and controlled in accordance with BOQ’s risk appetite.

You responsibilities will include the following:

  • Implementation of an Enterprise Solutions Risk Management Framework which complements the Group Risk Management Framework, Operational Risk Management Framework and the IT Governance Framework
  • Manage regular Executive and Board reporting on the current status of key Enterprise Solutions Risks
  • Provide internal consultancy to other business areas in relation to Enterprise Solutions Risk and Risk Management
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of the Enterprise Solutions Operational Risk Register. (It is to remain current and reflects all relevant IT Risks and the agreed mitigation activities).
  • Oversee Enterprise Solutions risk assessments on key initiatives
  • Manage Enterprise Solutions Compliance requirements with regulations and internal BOQ policies and procedures.
  • Act as the primary Enterprise Solutions liaison point for Group Assurance (Internal Audit) and any other third-party assurance providers
  • Drive the timely and satisfactory remediation of all Enterprise Solutions audit findings
  • Monitor and ensure remediation activities based on internal or external audit findings are agreed to and implemented.

About you:

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate the following skills:

  • Proven experience working within Information Technology
  • Financial services experience will be highly regarded
  • Experience in the design and implementation of IT
  • Governance & Risk Management Frameworks
  • Experience in understanding and managing IT Risk
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to communicate complex issues in a simple and clear manner
  • Ability to communicate effectively across a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong analytics and problem solving skills
  • Strong personal motivation, drive, resilience and self-management skills

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Extensive knowledge of APRA Standards and Guidelines
  • (relating to IT, Outsourcing and Governance)
  • Great leadership skills
  • Extensive knowledge of Operational and IT Risk Management
  • Extensive knowledge of IT Governance practices
  • Sound knowledge of industry trends and changes
  • Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills
  • Strong commercial acumen
