Community Hearing Advisor ADELAIDE


Are you a motivated health promotion or marketing professional with a reputation for results? We have a fantastic opportunity for a Community Hearing Advisor who is ready for a new challenge and to own a role building strong brand awareness.


  • Permanent part time position - 23.25 hours per week with some flexibility
  • Strong local knowledge of the local community and desire to be an advocate for the local community is essential
  • Attractive hourly rate + 15.4% superannuation

We are looking for an enthusiastic Community Hearing Advisor to join our friendly and vibrant team in Adelaide. The ideal candidate will have strong administration skills and community liaison skills to meet the needs of the local community in meeting hearing needs. 


You will also be contacting pharmacies, local GPs, community groups, aged care facilities and other local health providers to arrange hearing screenings and short talks, as well as promoting and working on our Australian Hearing Bus. In conjunction with your business development activities, you will also undertake hearing checks at screening events, demonstrate assistive listening devices, update data and records in relation to events, assist with administration and face to face customer service. 


The successful candidate will have:

  • Excellent people skills with the ability to develop great relationships with our clients and stakeholders
  • Strong advocacy experience, with a track record of success
  • Experience in a health promotion/ marketing background
  • Experience in face to face customer service
  • Strong presentation skills – with the ability to present to community groups
  • Strong organisational skills and problem solving skills
  • A strong team player focus
  • A great attitude towards learning new tasks and adapting to change
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Strong computer skills
  • A current driver’s license
