AFMA is seeking suitably qualified and experienced people to fill positions as Senior Management Officers within the Fisheries Management Branch.

These roles will be based in the newly opened Lakes Entrance Office and will provide the successful candidates with an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the management of Commonwealth fisheries.

The primary focus of the Senior Management Officer is to assist the Fishery Manager develop and implement management arrangements, policies and advice for Commonwealth fisheries that pursue AFMA’s legislative and organisational objectives as they relate to sectors of the Southern and Eastern Scalefish and Shark Fishery, Southern Squid Jig Fishery and Bass Strait Central Zone Scallop Fishery.

4. The successful applicant must have an ability and willingness to undertake interstate travel.
