This role will be based at The Swanston Hotel, Grand Mercure and Mercure Welcome Melbourne complex located right in the heart of the CBD where you will be working for the Erdigroup - a privately owned company that operates a successful collection of hotels and businesses throughout Australia.

We are looking for a suitable person to fill a newly created position within The ErdiGroup.

The Associate Director of Sales will work across two CBD AccorHotels properties being The Swanston Hotel Melbourne, Grand Mercure and The Mercure Welcome Melbourne.

This full time position will see the successful candidate being responsible for the following activities:

  • ·         Managing a portfolio of major accounts that have specific potential for these two properties;
  • ·         Researching new business opportunities;
  • ·         Wok in conjunction with AccorHotels National Sales to identify and target business opportunities for AccorHotels properties;
  • ·         Assist the Director of Sales and Marketing Strategy in budget preparation, revenue strategies and sales and marketing plans;
  • ·         Implementing sales targets and KPIs for business development managers and / or executives;
  • ·         Mentoring and training of the wider ErdiGroup sales team including business development and reservations teams; and
  • ·         Leading and managing wholesale and inbound markets for these Hotels.
The successful candidate will possess:

  • ·         Previous experience in a similar role and a strong desire to further develop a career within the hospitality and sales and marketing industries;
  • ·         Excellent knowledge and skills using the Microsoft Office suite of applications are critical to the success in this role. If you have a solid working knowledge of Opera you will be a highly desired candidate;
  • ·         You must be meticulously organised and have professional and highly articulate communication and presentation skills, strong project and people management skills along with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to handle tight deadlines.
To be successful in this role, it would be highly desirable to have had experience working with AccorHotels.
