Are you a naturally a confident person who is able to approach people and initiate conversation with our guests?

Join our enthusiastic and friendly Front Office team as a porter. Reporting directly to the Assistant Manager and/or Front Office Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the highest degree of customer service and presentation of the hotel.
  • Timely and efficient delivery of guest amenities
  • Making recommendations and reservations for our guests on local attractions and ensure the security of our guests and their possessions
  • Assisting guests to and from rooms with luggage
  • Assisting the team to create an extraordinary atmosphere and memorable experiences for our guests by providing them with up to date information of the  surrounding areas
  • Regular checks of the lobby and public areas ensuring they remain clean and presentable at all times
  • Parking cars and booking transport for guests
To be successful in this role, you will have a natural ability to ‘surprise’ guests with your authentic customer service, setting you apart from the rest.  As well as:

  • Flexibility to work a 7 day rotational roster.  Including week-ends and public holidays
  • Excellent standard of personal presentation and customer service
  • Basic computer and telephone skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, and communication skills
  • The ability to work within a team environment
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Previous experience with Opera or Fidelio desirable however not essential
  • Current full manual drivers license
  • RSA desirable however not essential
