About the Role

The Finance & Risk Compliance Manager is accountable for executing on the strategy compliance and regulatory offering in the region. The successful individual will be an experienced compliance manager, capable of supporting the go-to-market strategy, orchestrating and building risk and regulatory practice assets and capabilities, and creating thought leadership on compliance developments in the financial services market. The functional coverage of this consulting practice extends across financial services’ risk and regulatory frameworks, risk transformation, material new regulatory requirements, risk and regulatory remediation, optimising risk and regulation implementation and ongoing adherence and delivering the technology solutions required to enable insights through analytics.

This Manager will be in a position to define and deliver how Accenture will bring together all its compliance and regulatory offerings (strategy, management consulting, technology solutions, systems integration, and operations) in an integrated way that provides a compelling value proposition to financial services institutions today.

In addition to performing the role of thought leader in the compliance and regulatory domain, this manager will take on a key role in driving innovation for the business-identifying trends from changing client requirements and recognising requirements that current and emerging regulatory adherence creates. This includes supporting the research, development and commercialisation of new compliance and regulatory offerings for the target market. He/She is expected to have broad compliance skills and creatively combine relevant pieces into a market offering that is more relevant and compelling than if services were presented in isolation.

Another key role for this position is that of supporting Practice Development. In supporting this business area, the successful manager must not only be skilled at business planning but also in the operational activities that come with supporting a practice: managing consulting teams and supporting the culture in being leaders in compliance consulting. To achieve this, he/she must be able to work effectively in a global matrix of financial services sector heads and service line practice leaders who will contribute, follow and support the strategic roadmap for integrated business services.

Successful candidates for this position will be experienced in consulting services for Financial Services or have moved on to relevant manager-level industry roles in Financial Services. The manager must demonstrate expertise in the following knowledge areas:Compliance and regulatory expertise within the financial services industry with a focus on the banking or insurance sector

  • Supporting, developing and driving the go-to market strategy of a consulting practice

  • Networks with senior Risk Officers and direct reports of large banks and insurers in Australia in order to identify and originate deals

  • Success selling and delivering transformational large scale risk programs
