The Position:


Accenture is seeking a Category Management Lead with deep Mining Services sourcing and supplier management experience to help customers drive tangible results. In this capacity, you will work on a dedicated basis with an Accenture customer(s) with responsibility for delivering category management services including, but not limited to, strategic sourcing, client stakeholder management, supplier performance management, and continuous cost and performance improvement. You will design and implement cost savings projects across multiple Mining sub-categories including but not limited to: Air Charter, Central Support Services, Mining Services and General Consumables



Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with customers’ senior management team members to drive strategic initiatives and communicate progress.

  • Measure and manage Strategic Supplier Performance relative to contracted service levels. Developing annual Category Management Plans across all Mining categories.

  • Develop annual Sourcing Plans in support of achieving overall savings targets.

  • Work with the Category Management and Sourcing Teams to perform total cost of ownership evaluations for Strategic Suppliers.

  • Work collaboratively with suppliers and customer stakeholders to identify and execute continuous cost and performance improvement strategies.

  • Coach and develop team members in their performance and professional development.
