Job description:

The purpose of the L&D Consultant role is to build and uplift the AMP Operations staff capabilities; and assist in delivering the vision of the Learning and Development team to improve the time to competence for all staff. The role plays a pivotal part in assisting and promoting a learning and performance culture.

Through the development and implementation of agreed tactical training solutions, this role focuses on equipping operational staff with the appropriate skills to effectively perform their roles.

The key functions of the role include regular training needs analysis, skill gap assessments, stakeholder relationship management and planning, designing, delivering, evaluating, and reviewing all training programs.

Duties

  • Deliver induction program, technical and behavioural training, utilising a blend of delivery approaches and learning tools as needed
  • Design and develop innovative learning interventions (using adult learning principles) to achieve set targets of improvement in employee’s competence and capability levels
  • Work closely with leadership teams to embed new training frameworks and systems for business teams
  • Manage and implement learning interventions for projects, and update any relevant content that already exist and must be maintained
  • Measure the impact and effectiveness of learning interventions post-delivery
  • Keep up to date with legislative, regulatory and industry trends and ensure all relevant changes are reflected appropriately in training materials and other relevant policies and processes

Skills & experience

  • Work as an effective team player, supporting and communicating with peers; recognise the contribution of others in the achievement of team goals
  • L&D experience in design, development, delivery and assessment of learning interventions
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or tertiary Adult Education
  • Ability to manage and play a pivotal role in the change management process
  • Sound project management skills and ability to interpret technical content into learning solutions for operations staff
